Who We Are
Inspiring Change is an online Christian counseling and life coaching agency. We are a woman and minority-owned business offering services to individuals, couples, youth/adolescents, groups, and families. Services are offered via live video sessions and telephone.

What We Do
Our vision is to offer accessible, biblically sound, and transformational
guidance for the everyday person who wants to move from stagnation to
intentional living, stability, and efficacy.

How We Do It
At Inspiring Change we offer Christian-based, culturally competent, ethical,
and evidence-based counseling and coaching services throughout
Hampton Roads and beyond.

Why We Do It
Inspiring Change is a company whose ministry is to serve others in their
personal, professional, relational, and spiritual growth. Our service is
guided by Christian biblical principals and values as we believe that God
the Father is the Creator of everything. He is Holy, eternal, all-knowing, all-
powerful, and omnipresent. We believe that God sent His only Begotten
Son, Jesus Christ, who accomplished His purpose in redeeming us from
our sinful state and separation from God through His death and
resurrection. We believe that while Christ is in Heaven with the Father, the
Holy Spirit is at work in each believer to convict sinful behavior, bring
revelation, and guide us to carry out God’s purposes. As Christians, our
purpose is to spread God’s Word, lead people to Christ, grow as a body of
believers in Christ, and glorify God in everything we do. These principles
guide our work at Inspiring Change as we offer faith-based services to
those seeking transformational experience through the power of Christ.
Each counselor who works at Inspiring Change indicates their personal
agreement with this statement of faith.

I have spent my life learning how to make yours better. Plain and simple-my passion is seeing people achieve their goals. It brings me great joy to see an entrepreneur finally take that leap, a marriage become reinvigorated, an individual getting the promotion they dreamed of, someone finally enrolling back in school, parents learning new approaches to engage in a healthy way with their children, and the list goes on and on and on…

I have been working with children, adults, groups, couples, and families in private and community based settings for over 16 years. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Virginia with areas of expertise in anxiety, depression, relationship stress, life transitions, self-esteem, and parenting issues.

I formally began my education by earning my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a minor in Communication Studies before obtaining my Master’s degree in Counseling. While working in a variety of senior level positions within local mental health agencies, I was able to earn my doctorate degree in Counseling Psychology. Although my work experience and education have given me the training needed to help people address life’s problems, my ability to help others overcome obstacles is also guided by my personal experiences. I can help someone just like you figure out life’s lessons and push forward to success because I have been there, too! Life is hard enough without choosing to go at it alone when help, guidance, and encouragement are available right here. Take the first step today.

It is my desire to compassionately serve adults, children, adolescents, couples, and families from all walks of life. It is my pleasure to aid in emotional well-being, mental health, and spiritual growth, development, and overall functioning of the people I serve. My heart is overwhelmed when people are able to overcome various challenges, establish and/or regain stability, and maintain a healthy balance of life despite the inevitable changes they have and will continue to encounter. I count it a great honor and privilege to walk beside the anxious teenager, the exhausted parent, the disheartened couple, the hurt young woman, the unappreciated man, and those alike who needs support and guidance to thrive in their roles.

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Virginia with a substantial knowledge-base in a variety of areas to include parent-child relational issues, anxiety, depression, marital and pre-marital issues, and anger management. My early academic training began with me earning a Bachelor of Social Work which then lead to further training and my completion of a Master of Arts in Human Services with a specialization Marriage and Family Therapy. After gaining a plethora of professional experience in the fields of mental health and counseling in community-based agencies, schools, and private practice I earned a Master of Arts in Professional Counseling. I also have experience teaching and training other undergraduate level students in higher academia who are working towards degrees within the counseling profession.

I am certainly familiar with the various obstacles that occur in life and can readily identify with those who have struggled with recapturing and sustaining balance. I understand the importance of support, guidance, and gaining the motivation to move forward in life. As a Christian woman, I have learned to trust God and the people He has placed in my life to overcome the daily woes of life. I am grateful for the opportunity to use the gift counseling to give others support and guidance needed to conquer the challenges to seek to defeat them.

“For by wise guidance you can wage your war, and in abundance of counselors there is victory.” Proverbs 24:6(ESV)
